A member of Nigerian House of Representatives, Hon. Lawal Gudaji Kazaure has expressed willingness to take part in the battle against Boko Haram insurgency if appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari.
In a video trending on social media platforms, Hon. Kazaure boosted that he is a professional hunter who is familiar with all areas occupied by the insurgents.
“Let the president appoint me. I will delegate a team to go inside the bushes with myself to finish those idiots (terrorists),” he said.
“I’m a hunter, I know all these bushes. I’m a professional hunter; I can delegate a team of hunters.
“Let the government give us the army and the police, we will go inside that bush. I will lead it, I will lead.”
Who is Hon Gudaji Kazaure
Hon. Kazaure is a member of the All Progressive Congress (APC) representing Kazaure/Roni/Gwiwa/Yankwashi constituency, Jigawa state in Nigeria’s lower legislative chamber.
One major attributes of Hon. Kazaure is making sensational statements on issues either on legislative matters or national issues.
In March 2018, he was reported by many media houses for saying empowering women might lead to them overthrowing men.
“Women need the government to give them the opportunity; it’s good to give women opportunity in terms of politics, entrepreneur and others, but not too much.
“You would come here one day and find out that women are everywhere in this chamber and they will mess up. If we have women constitute 70 to 80 per cent in this chamber, they will mess up.”
“If we give them an opportunity outside (politics) and at home, they would capture everything because most of them are very intelligent. If given more chance, one day they will overthrow us.”
“I was brought here by women, because 60 or 70 per cent of my vote is from women, if they understand this thing, they will vote us out and that is the reality.
“In my constituency, if I have somebody like the women in this House (of Representatives) here, they would gather more women and vote me out,” Kazaure said.
Hon. Kazaure is one of the Reps. members with the lowest qualification which is the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE).
