Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, also known as AOCOED, is a higher education institute located in Oto-Awori community in the Oto-Awori area of Ojo , Lagos State.
However, there are five places in the college that many students in the community don’t know. In fact, research shows that some students spent three years in the college without knowing those beautiful places.
1. Pig’s Farm:
Many a student knows not that Agricultural department of AOCOED rears pigs in the college. This is in conjunction with other farms being managed by the department.
It is situated behind AOCOED International School (AIS) which is adjacent to Mami market along the school’s clinic.
They are in care of Mr. Clemet, a staff lecturer in AOCOED in the department of Agricultural Lecturer.
2. Table tennis courts:
Most of the students in the college who love table tennis end up playing football because they don’t know that there is table tennis court in the college. This table tennis court is located at the end of Directorate Degree of Programs (DDP) Hall which is after the college pitch.
This has been abandoned due to the non availability of facility and lack of information.6
3. Paper Academy:
The fast growing business now in the community is the use of paper to design and decorate houses, schools and event.
Fortunately, the company is situated at the college but many students don’t know about it. This paper academy is at thd back of AOCOED Students Union building, adjacent to Agricultural department.
It is being managed by a man popularly known as Ayanfe with other apprentices.
4. Works Service Department:
The works department of AOCOED located behind School of Sciences, lecture theatre is a department many students can’t identify their places in the college.
In works department, you will think it is an abandoned building due to its outlook. However, it is a building that caters for sustainability of lights in the college.
5. Poultry Farm:
One who has used the male toilet in the college mosque before must know that there is poultry farm in the college.
This farm serves as an entrepreneur for the Agricultural department.
It is behind the college mosque.
